Original Café Tabac Co-Host DJ Sharee Nash Featured at #NYCPride2015 Fundraiser Event!

    STOP THE PRESS!!! Legendary DJ Sharee Nash is making a one-time appearance at our upcoming #Back2Tabac #NYCPride2015 fundraiser event sponsored by MAC Cosmetics and Absolut Vodka! Can you imagine what accumulation has happened over the years in her crates, uh, I mean in her cloud, since the last time you heard her spin?!!! Throw your hands up if you were there swaying your hips at Café Tabac, Bar d’O, Starlight, and Wonderbar, when she transformed the room into a magical, groovy, funky, dreamtime ship that sailed night after night!!!

    We are so pleased to have our original co-host of the legendary Café Tabac party in the building, doing what she does best. Creating MAGIC! She is also interviewed in our upcoming documentary where she discusses the vision she had for the original event which she co-created and co-hosted with our very own Wanda Acosta. She wanted to create a new kind of space for lesbians. She wanted a good looking room where she could have conversation with other women about literature, art and culture, backed by a killer soundtrack. Where women can get up and dance if the music moved them to (which it did). And in a nutshell, she wanted a space for lesbians where she could get a proper drink in proper stemware! We still agree and yearn for those days.

    DJ Sharee will spin the opening VIP hour from 6-7PM until 9PM when DJ Belinda Becker takes over til midnight! What a night of two of the fiercest women and greatest DJ’s this city has heard!
