MESHELL NDEGEOCELLO Joins PRIDE Fundraiser Event HOST COMMITTEE for Café Tabac Film

    We are so proud to announce Meshell Ndegeocello joining the host committee for our upcoming #Back2Tabac #NYCPride2015 Fundraiser Event Sponsored by MAC Cosmetics. She has been an incredible supporter of our project from the beginning. Not only is she hosting our Pride event, but will also compose original music on our documentary feature film, for which the event is raising funds for. As the film’s music composer, her contributions will not only assist in the storytelling, but will help make the film an unforgettable experience for the audience.

    In a film about bold, beautiful, empowered women dismantling restricting definitions of “identity” and “stereotypes” to forge new paths of the human spirit, collaborating with Meshell on this project was a natural choice.  Since her 1993 breakout album “Plantation Lullabies,” Meshell Ndegeocello has always been on the front lines, charging new frontiers with her music, her voice and activism. It has garnered her ten career Grammy nominations, immense praise from music critics around the world, respect from her peers and countless collaborations with some of the most innovative and exciting artists around.

    We are proud to represent part of her loyal fan base since the beginning of her career, which was during the time of Café Tabac where we heralded her music through our speakers. And we are extremely proud to have her join us on this journey to make the Café Tabac film, with this year’s Pride fundraiser to support it.
